The Winter Blues and Golds
My mother is a talented quilter, did you know that? Well, as part of my winter line that will debut at thee Sashay Shantay, I asked her to learn me some quiltin'! Thankfully, she said yes and we headed up to the north woods for some intensive designing/quilting magic. My sister Hannah came up with us to lend a sewing hand too. I'm so lucky to have such an industrial, artistic, and helpful family!
The views were great from our sewing room.
My mom teaches me all about piecework.

I Like Long Walks on the Beach
Family vacation photo time! Just kidding, it's not so bad. My family and I did go down to St. Pete's, Florida for a beach wedding this spring. I'll spare you the story of how I learned to drive a motorhome (towing a minivan!!!) and just serve up the sweet stuff.

Sweet indeed! No need to mention how I lose my chin when I dance; I already know that! Anyway, the bride was a childhood friend of my whole family, she was like another sister. In honor of her Indian heritage, I used fabric from a saree for my frock. My little sis rocked the navy lace in a super cute way. Ahhhh, family!

It's the Tits!
Some images from my line at LINE: An Exploration of T-shirt Graphics put on by CO Exhibitions. The opening was last Saturday and there was fun to be had for sure. If you missed it, feel free to drop by the space in NE. The show is up till April 23rd.
Now I'm off to the basement to put the finishing touches on my looks for Voltage (Have you got your tickets?)! Happy MNFashion Week!
I've been spring cleaning my computer. I found these sweet gals lurking in folders from years past. What's better than two pachyderms decked out in their finest to welcome Fashion Week to Minnesota? Not much, I dare say.

Also, act like an elephant and never forget to swing by CO Exhibition's opening for LINE, an art tee shirt show with an emphasis on amazing & over the top. See wicked lines by local artistes on April 9th. Don't pass up the opportunity to purchase a one-of-a-kind Carly Schoen tee!
Happy spring!
